hey Rocco! call me!

by MrsFatass on January 10, 2011

Those of you who have been around this joint a while know that I love to cook, I love to eat, and that endorphins make me lusty. Well, lots of things make lusty. Endorphins, yes. But also fresh raw oysters, the perfect red dress, or a Hell’s Kitchen marathon.

I digress.

I do love to cook and I do love to eat and yet here I sit trying to write a healthy living blog documenting my life as I work to lose 50 pounds. (Which, by the way, I am now four pounds closer to achieving! Seems there’s something to this whole ‘eat less, move more’ fad flying around the interwebs). Over and over we hear things like “weight loss is 60% what you eat” and “you can’t outtrain poor nutrition” and so on. So, what’s a girl to do who loves junk eating as much as she loves eating clean? Who would like nothing more than to curl up on her sofa buttdent for hours on end eating Pringles and watching Top Chef? Who dreams about eating not one, but TWO rare steaks, and wakes up sad that it didn’t really happen?

Well. This girl would love to just have an assortment of chefs lined up to handle all her healthy yet delicious culinary needs. I mean, I am the girl who has 2 celebrity chefs on her List of Five, with a third as an alternate. And you know what? Sometimes when you put something out into the universe, things happen. In this case the thing was saying out loud I LOVE CHEFS AND AUTOGRAPHED COOKBOOKS, and then getting an email from a lovely woman named Katie who offered me the opportunity to add to my collection AND yours if I’d simply host a little giveaway here.

I know. I don’t do giveaways. You NEVER find contests and giveaways here. That’s because it wasn’t until now that Katie and one mister ROCCO DISPIRITO came a knocking. I have the opportunity to give away TWO COPIES of Rocco’s latest book NOW EAT THIS!, which showcases recipes for dishes that most of us swear off of when we’re working on weight loss and fitness, and turns them into much healthier, still-delicious low calorie versions.

So exciting.

my alternate

Alrighty. We’re gonna call this little ditty the Rocco DiSpirito/MrsFatass MrsFatass/Rocco DiSpirito 2011 Keep Your Resolution Giveaway. If you’re tempted to let your motivation wane, or if you didn’t make a resolution but could use a jump-start in your kitchen, or if you have a thing for celebrity chefs like I do, this giveaway is for YOU. For the low low price of one comment (or 5, or 7, or how ever many you want to leave) you will be entered to win a copy of Now Eat This. Just tell me about a 2011 goal or resolution, or about a recipe you’d like to see made over, or a favorite healthy substitution for an unhealthy ingredient, or even who is on your list of five. Comments will remain open until midnight on Sunday, January 16th, and I’ll pick TWO winners (sorry, U.S. residents only, dangit) on Monday, January 17th. Hopefully by then I’ll figure out both Random.org AND how to post a screen shot. Oy.

And, in keeping with the spirit of the giveaway, (and in celebration of my 4 pound weight loss!) my goals this week will be food-focused. Along with the daily cardio, that four pounds came off by eating clean, managing my portions, and counting my calories. So THIS week? I’m going to cook my way through some of Rocco’s recipes. One new one a day. Give our menu planning a jumpstart. Because you know, they DO say that weight loss is about 60% what you eat.

PS: My dear friend my alternate Chef Rocco also shares healthy tips and recipes on Twitter http://twitter.com/roccodispirito) and Facebook. Now let’s get to commenting!

Wow, I can’t pass this one up. Rocco? Really? LOVE Rocco! And I LOVE cookbooks. I do have a goal for 2011, to STAY at goal and keep moving, which has kind of slipped a tiny bit since spending the holidays with my Mom and cooking all Pop’s dishes (Sicilian). I’ve pulled it in now though and on my way back, but craving lasagna!

Joanna January 10, 2011 at 6:42 am

Oh I would LOVE this!! One of my resolutions is to prepare new recipes – to keep the excitement alive during my weight loss.

I have quite a few resolutions, but I’m gonna hold off and cheat..LOL I will post a couple more comments later, when I have a few extra minutes.

Shelley January 10, 2011 at 6:51 am

You know one of those must come home to one of your fellow Celebrity Chef, Music Loving, Flintstone PEEPS right! Yeh, that’s ME! Where have you been all my life woman, we need to reconnect when you are in the DC area. My resolution substitute Quality for Quantity (in everything I do, including diet)!

charmaine January 10, 2011 at 7:13 am

My goal is to move to the states so we can enter all the awesome comps!!

Jenn from A Girl Who Loves Cupcakes January 10, 2011 at 7:13 am

Wow! 4lbs is AWESOME lady! Congrats! My new years unresolution is to just keep on doing what I’m doing and keep working on recovering from my injury and stop being so hard on myself. And, I love cookbooks!

Kerri O January 10, 2011 at 7:18 am

I have one of his books, love. Personally, I think it’s more like 80% what we eat, bummer, I know. What am I supposed to be commenting to enter? A.D.D. Oh, 2011 goals, um, I have lots. One is to meet Mrs. Fatass. But a health/fitness one…I want to be done with this whole weight loss gig, try my hand at maintenance for once.

Feral January 10, 2011 at 7:51 am

Okay I’m glad I’m not the only one that has a thing for celebrity chefs. My guilty admission is that I totally have a thing for Gordon Ramsey. You know, he has the whole “bad boy” persona going on, but I’m convinced there’s a soft teddy bear hiding under there somewhere… plus he can COOK!!!!! I found out recently he was married and I was heart broken, but I’m willing to be the 2nd wife. <3 Or I could just marry Rocco and wait for Gordon in the meantime!

Patrick January 10, 2011 at 8:15 am

Hmm, my dream recipe that needs a make over is my mom’s beef strogenoff. So good, so rich, so much of it hangs from by body from meals long ago enjoyed. If this deliciousness could be re-done into a healthier alternative without tasting like it was re-done, well then I would say utopia can’t be too far behind it.

Marla January 10, 2011 at 8:23 am

my New Years resolutions (i’m going to share two of them) are to make it to the gym thrice a week, and to bring a healthy lunch to work with me everyday (instead of buying an unhealthy one– this way I’m healthier and saving money!).

@MMScarlett January 10, 2011 at 8:26 am

My goal for 2011 is to complete p90x TWICE and gain more muscle mass!!

I love that you are addicted to junkfood like I am! SO YUMMY! HA

JourneyBeyondSurvival January 10, 2011 at 8:51 am

I am going to exercise 6 times a week and realize that having a child squealing all through the night is a legitimate lifestyle impairment. Especially when child is sick and we’re worried about breathing…yeah, totally reasonable to take it easy.

That being said, eating is one of my goals. Eating proper portions. Cooking a la slow food movement. Exercise gets my mind in the right place to be healthy. Food is what gets me and keeps me healthy.

Darlene January 10, 2011 at 8:59 am

My goal is to continue going to the gym 3 – 5 times a week and incorporate journaling/calorie watching so I can lose weight.

Deb January 10, 2011 at 9:29 am

Love me some Rocco…I hear he’s a good cook, too! I’m not much for resolutions. At least not at this specific time of year. I figure they happen when you want them to happen. But one thing I would like to work on is getting my family (the kids) to eat healthier. It’s almost as big a struggle as getting my own butt moving. Picky is an understatement, especially with my son’s sensory issues. *gag* I’m thinking this book might have some ways to entice them. I especially noticed the mac n cheese on the cover, which just happens to be boylie’s favorite food ever. Please keep us posted on how the recipes work out for you, and congrats on the four pounds! Awesome!

kia January 10, 2011 at 9:57 am

I still think you are loaded with integrity despite doing this giveaway – this is a little dream for you so WAHOOO!! As for my list of five #1 Mos Def #2 Rodrigo Santoro #3 Alex Meraz (yes Twilight Wolf Pack) #4 Neil Patrick Harris (who cares what side he bats for) #5 Carlos Bocanegra (US Mens National Team).

Have a great week and right now I need to decide if I want to attack the Pioneer Woman’s Cinnamon Rolls. I have been wanting to try these since I was pregnancy and now that I am doing P90X I am half-tempted since I am an eating machine between the working out and breastfeeding.

Ann C January 10, 2011 at 10:41 am

Well, let’s see…

I have lost 35 lbs. and kept it off for a year! Now, I want to continue to revise old recipes into healthier versions. I have created a few really good ones, I am proud to say.

AND … I want to actually start exercising. I need the cardio.

Great contest!

Jen M. January 10, 2011 at 10:42 am

I’m doing a lifestyle change overhaul… a journey to learning a healthier way of living (not a diet!!). I have now gotten myself to the point where I need to loose over 80 lbs, the heaviest I’ve ever been. Not wanting to fail at this attempt AGAIN… I’m taking baby steps this time, starting with food, then working in exercise.

LyndawithaY January 10, 2011 at 10:45 am

My resolution for the New Year has nothing to do with food or fitness. It is about keeping in touch with my friends, being better about making plans with them, picking up the phone, keeping them close, and making more friends.

I have so many chef crushes, it’s crazy. I’ve got 2 that are local to the Boston area, I’ve got Tyler Florence, Guy Fieri, and a girl-crush on Nigella Lawson. Oh yeah, and I want to be invited to Barefoot Contessa’s house!

Marie @mkopp1 January 10, 2011 at 10:49 am

I lOVE ROCCO!!! I have been drooling…ok just admitted that online….over this cookbook for some time. Not sure why I haven’t purchased it yet, maybe I was waiting for you to review it? I don’t know. I would love to see a healthy mac n cheese recipe and meatloaf recipe. Also I have a garlic butter noodle recipe that makes my arteries cringe but my taste buds dance (if only it was healthier!!!)

Cassie January 10, 2011 at 11:28 am

I’d love to see Mac and Cheese made into a healthy alternative… or maybe some homemade ice cream recipes 😀 YUM! I mean the food not Rocco… ok, maybe both 😉

Tania January 10, 2011 at 12:18 pm

I’d love to get this cookbook! I’m kind of a healthy cookbook whore…so sue me. I’ve got 31.8 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight and I’m hoping to achieve this in 2011. Aside from that, I just want to eat good food (healthy AND good tasting), be active and do things to just flat out make me happy. That sounds like a good plan for 2011, doesn’t it? Now send me that cookbook!

Lisa January 10, 2011 at 12:37 pm

Oh my, Oh my. How much do I love cookbooks, celebrity chefs, warming the butt dent on my sofa while watching some Top Chef? Sooooooo much. I’m also a complete accent whore. Which means my celebrity chef crushes? Curtis Stone. Bill Granger. Love those down under accents, mmmhhhmmmmm. Oh, Jamie Oliver. I know, he’s too young for me, but we’re talking fantasy here. Oh, Oh, and Pamela Anderson (no not the Bay Watch one, the chef one who lost weight and still ate fabulous food.) The list goes on and on and on, really.

Thanks for the giveaway Mrs. Fatass!

Jamie January 10, 2011 at 12:48 pm

Oh yum! I wanna win!

One of my resolutions this year is to run 1000 miles in 2011! I have a long list of them, but that’s the one I’m focused on right now. I hope I win this book… my kitchen needs some new recipes!

Untypically Jia January 10, 2011 at 12:57 pm

Count me in! He’s very pretty. And honestly, I’ve got chefs on my list too! Curtis Stone please, with a side of Gordan Ramsey (cause I like me a bad boy – even though they’re higher in calories.)

I’m less about the resolutions this year seeing that I started my weight loss journey four weeks before 2011 even came a knockin’. But I am dedicated to slowly getting this weight off this year.

And I would kill for a half way healthy recipe for potato soup.

Poppy @ From Fried Chicken to Tofu January 10, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Goal…I’m training to run my first half marathon in February! Woo hoo!

merrymishaps January 10, 2011 at 1:21 pm

Ooh, do I see mac and cheese on the cover? Yes, I would like some healthier mac and cheese!

2011 goals are to keep running, and to keep eating (mostly) healthy!

Jeremy Logsdon January 10, 2011 at 1:22 pm

I want a cookbook!

Okay, my list… Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah (don’t judge me), Lucy Liu, and Anne Hathaway.

Kelly @Happy Texans January 10, 2011 at 1:44 pm

This book is on my amazon wish list. WANT IT!! Bad.

Besides losing weight, my goal for this year is to run my first half marathon. I want one of those fancy medals. 🙂

Ash January 10, 2011 at 1:57 pm

Oh! Oh, recipes! I love trying new things these days. And, uhm, you know – I noticed that nobody else talks about “Labido” (otherwise known as that dirty, taboo work that starts with ‘s’ [sex]), too! I have so many questions, and never ask them out of fear of offending. Haha.

Anyhow. my resolutions-for-life (because what’s the point of making them for just one year) are to eat healthier by monitoring portions, and to start moving more – kind of like you, because that whole fad actually does work. =)

Congrats on the loss!

Bethany J. January 10, 2011 at 2:03 pm

I plan to lose some weight this year so this book would really help! I’d love to see a healthier version of my favorite comfort food – macaroni and cheese.

Alison C. January 10, 2011 at 2:15 pm

I would love to win that cookbook! And I don’t really have a list of five. I just have a list of one right now, and that one is David Rocco, of that fab show David Rocco’s Dolce Vita! Love him! But I’d be more than happy to have a cookbook by Rocco Dispirito, even if he is the wrong Rocco. 🙂

sugar January 10, 2011 at 2:20 pm

Oooh that looks like an awesome book!!
I would love to win!! *wink wink*

My new years resolution was to join Weight Watchers.. which I am doing Saturday! Yay!!
I have been dieting and exercising and last year lost 30+ pounds.. so hoping to keep going this year 🙂

Morgan January 10, 2011 at 2:23 pm

Someone else is giving away two of these autographed books too, but I won something from her in her last contest and felt bad signing up for another one. And then, lo and behold, here is another chance!!! Ok, a New Year’s resolution from me is to lose the last 20 pounds that will put me into the normal category of that evil BMI. Which I don’t really believe in but would like the opportunity to stick my tongue out at, just once.

Morgan January 10, 2011 at 2:25 pm

Oh, and my other resolution is to get out of my mother-in-law’s house before I am pushed over the edge and wind up killing someone. And let me tell you, the edge is only a few steps away right now…do they let you blog from prison?

Tanya January 10, 2011 at 2:33 pm

My resolution for this year is to focus on living a healthier lifestyle. 2011 is the year that I am going to get to my goal weight and stay there!

Staci January 10, 2011 at 3:06 pm

One of my goals this year is to de-clutter. I think it would make a world of difference in my life if I could get rid of all that’s unnecessary and that doesn’t just pertain to “stuff”!

Charlie January 10, 2011 at 3:29 pm

Will I consume calories from licking the cover of the book if I win it? Because that is what would happen… he’s so dreamy!
And Top Chef, I borderline OBSESS about it. No shame. Make fun if you will. I will always have it on my DVR. And I eat my dinner while watching it. Otherwise I eat a 4th meal and totally jack up my diet. Sigh…

Betsy January 10, 2011 at 4:25 pm

I’m a cookbook collector (well, a collector of cookbooks with clean eating recipes) and would luuurve to win this one! I’m all about the meal planning and prepping on the weekend so my weekdays are less harried and I’ve got that dialed in. Where I’m struggling and where I’m focusing my energies this year is on avoiding the junk: sugar, processed foods, dairy, breads, pasta, grains. YIKES! I’m on my third sugar-free day and feeling strong!

Julia January 10, 2011 at 4:28 pm

My goal is more healthy eating and this book sure would help. Just looking at him helps LOL!!

Andrea Kruse (@notimeMom) January 10, 2011 at 5:09 pm

Congrats on that weight loss! 4 lbs is major.

Oh, you and me both. I am definitely a foodie with a need to lose a bit of that “buttdent” maker. My resolution was to apply to be a Mamavation Mom and then either rock it or own the Move it & Lose it Challenge. This foodie is going to lose a bit of the excess me. Excited about this cookbook!

Lena B January 10, 2011 at 5:46 pm

Looks like a really cook thing to have

Joanna January 10, 2011 at 6:09 pm

Another resolution I have is to finish a 5K in under 30 minutes. It means completing my C25K training – and then pushing myself to increase the speed so that I’m running a mile in 10 minutes – and every mile after that. I know I can do it.

Oh, and I forgot to mention my obsession with Celebrity Chefs – especially Gordon Ramsey. I *heart* him…every f**in word that comes out of his mouth makes me melt..LOL

Carrie@FamilyFitnessFood.com January 10, 2011 at 7:14 pm

Congrats on the 4 pounds!!! Wonderful.

As for the cookbook, I love his recipes. I read something about the mac & cheese recipe that he did and I’d love to try it. My kids need to learn to enjoy mac & cheese that’s healthy and not from a box – that’s a goal for 2011!

seattlerunnergirl January 10, 2011 at 7:36 pm

How fun – I would love to win this cookbook for some kitchen magic! And I’d like to try the cookies on the cover, too!

My resolutions and goals for 2011 include losing some more of this weight (not sure how much), running a half marathon, and more.

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Tara Lou January 10, 2011 at 8:24 pm

Way to go on the 4 pounds!!! 🙂 Well… let’s see. I’m addicted to the food network and Bravo’s Top Chef, so, my list of 5 does actually include a few chefs. Tyler “he’s dreamy” Florence, Bobby Flay & Michael Symon. I know, I know – very strange combination, and none of them share physical resemblances, but, it’s all about the food. 😉 As far as resolutions go: my goal is to quit smoking for once and for all, and do something to shake up my life (and the potential is there, as in, possibly taking a job all the way across country). But, shaking up my life will also mean finally getting my arse back in to some type of exercise. Cut out the Bruegger’s bagels that I’ve become very fond of since moving to a city that actually has a Bruegger’s, and just stop my addiction with bread, overall. Oh, and (GASP), give up Koegel’s, at least for awhile – I eat way too many hotdogs (even without the bun). At least I can’t get Angelo’s, or Big John’s, any more – that’s a step in the right direction! LOL!

Laurie January 10, 2011 at 8:25 pm

I’ve not seen this man, but NOW THAT I HAVE!!!! YUMMY, and I don’t mean the recipes…..

Chris January 10, 2011 at 9:19 pm

I have many, many goals for 2011. One of them is to reach my goal weight of 175# in the first half of the year and continue toning throughout 2011. What I’m finding is that as long as I do some form of challenging exercise 6x per week and eat clean every day, the weight loss happens naturally – duh! That’s really obvious, I know but it’s taken me 35+ years to figure that out. Another goal is to visit and participate in discussions at fitness/weight loss blogs at least twice a day. It’s so much easier to succeed as part of a community!

Casey January 10, 2011 at 9:23 pm

My resolutions this year are to acknowledge my own needs and to live with intention! I know I only have to answer one question, but I’m always up for a healthy (or healthier) cinnamon roll recipe.

Drazil January 10, 2011 at 9:59 pm

You know…here’s my confession to you – my cookbook loving friend. I own one. One. And it’s homemade from a bunch of women who put it together using their own spiral-thingys. I got it in 1996 – for a wedding gift. They are NOT healthy recipes. They brag that they are not healthy recipes. I often wonder if people who own healthy recipe books really use them and if it indeed changes their lives health-wise. I guess I’ll find out if you pick me. I’m on a roll MF and just got news my cholesterol is BAD even just 15 lbs over goal weight. Maybe your cookbook giveway is the motivation I need to prove to the WHOLE FAMILY that I can’t do this alone. Because I can’t. We ALL have to eat better or I feel like I’m pissing in the wind. You feel me?

TrippyTexan January 11, 2011 at 12:31 am

Being a little bit of a foodie in the process of trying to lose those last 20ish (or 50ish) lbs can be kinda tough. I’d love to add Rocco’s recipes to my collection of Hungry Girl and Sneaky Chef stuff. One of the easiest subs I’ve tried so far has been pumpkin in place of eggs & water in cake mix muffins– add yogurt and you’ve got extra calcium too!

Joanna January 11, 2011 at 10:16 am

I have another resolution – lots more really, but I’m trying to be nice and limit myself…

I want to comment more on blogs, and encourage people to interact with me on mine. I read the new blog posts every day – yes, all of them (of those that I follow). I comment every now and then..but I want to comment more.

I also realized that I didn’t congratulate you on your 4lb loss…I thought I did on my first comment, but I didn’t. I feel terrible about it. It’s such a big deal – and all I could think about was winning a cookbook. Geez. Well, CONGRATS!! You go, girl!!

Shelley (@momma_oz) January 11, 2011 at 10:21 am

OMG – would LOVE that cookbook! I’m a sucker for all things celebrity chef and NEED some more healthified recipes in so I can stick with my resolution/goals that this year will FINALLY be the one where I lose the rest of my 80 lbs! I find I keep making the same ol standbys because I’m lacking creativity! win or lose, CONGRATS on the loss! AMAZING!!!!

Kyra January 11, 2011 at 11:44 am

Congrats on the 4 pounds lost. BTW, I think I found them for you, if you want them back or somthin’… I have resolved that I’m going to, in turn, lose those 4 myself, along with the remaining 30+ padding my frame. Anyhoo, I am such a cookbook slut, I would love to win this cookbook. Healthier recipes are always welcome in my kitchen.

Katie J January 11, 2011 at 1:07 pm

Jeffery Dean Morgan is in my top 5 😉

Jennifer January 11, 2011 at 1:07 pm

Love Rocco! My husband and I have committed to lose at least 40lbs this year (hopefully more, but at least that). Better Health is our goal.

Janie January 11, 2011 at 1:07 pm

I would love to win this cookbook! This is an exciting year for me, I am expecting my first baby this year! I’m due in April and my goal for this year is to be a healthier mom. I want to cook more and start losing weight and getting back to the size I should be. I don’t want to be too heavy to play with my little boy as he grows up.

kimberly January 11, 2011 at 1:18 pm

My main goal is to cut out as much sugar as humanly possible without killing someone. So far so good. It is hard when you start reading labels and see how many things have sugar in them like fajita seasoning…really??? fajita seasoning???

Jessica!! January 11, 2011 at 1:45 pm

FUN GIVEAWAY! Ok here’s my list of five: Joe Gordon-Levitt, Channing Tatum, Jason Segel (random, I know), Rocco DiSpirito!! and Jake Gyllenhaal.
And here’s my fave healthy substitute: Black beans in the brownies!

Say what?? You CANNOT taste them and you throw a whole buncha fiber up in ’em and the kids dig it.

My 2011 resolution – I want to be self employed by the end of this year!!

So there it is!
Keep rockin’ people’s socks with this blog, you’re pretty cool

Lisa January 12, 2011 at 2:04 am

I resolve to exercise more.

Angela Pea January 12, 2011 at 9:22 am

ACK!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Rocco!! Seriously. Not in a “oh I think I’ll ditch my marvelous husband and chase this man” kind of way, but in a “what a great guy, his Mom must be SO PROUD of him” kind of way.

My list of five – Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Martha Stewart, Rose Levy Beranbaum, Ina Garten

Resolution for 2011 – be DONE with losing weight. It’s been two years, 56 pounds and I’m within throwing distance of goal. I’m going to MAKE IT!!

Favorite food substitute? Plain non fat Greek yogurt for sour cream and mayo. Yum!

jen (jeninRL) January 12, 2011 at 9:37 am

resolution – I don’t make ’em…..but I will keep running and setting running goals.

I love to cook so send me this cookbook!

love ya mrs. fatass!

Steve January 12, 2011 at 9:39 am

One of my list of five…Natalie Portman…always has been, always will be 😀

Goal for 2011: STOP GAINING WEIGHT, and maybe lose a pound or two 😛

Bitchilla January 12, 2011 at 11:41 am

I need a healthy version of spaghetti carbonara that tastes as good as the original. My goal is to exercise more and lose some weight.

Heather A January 12, 2011 at 1:17 pm

I love Rocco! Cute and can cook! Mrow! 🙂
This year I’m determined to not just lose my unhealthy weight, but to learn to eat cleaner and more local (as if I needed any more stress in my life. Bah!) I’ve skimmed through this cookbook at my local bookstore and everything looks SO GOOD! I’d love to win this book. I’ll be cooking cover to cover! 🙂

Lynda January 12, 2011 at 1:27 pm

It’s the other Lynda with a “y” here. My goal for the year is to be mindful–as it applys not just to eating, but also to actions.

My List of Five: 1)Vin Diesel 2) Jason Bateman 3) Joshua Jackson 4) Jon Bon Jovi 5) Prince Harry.

Heather @ Not a DIY Life January 12, 2011 at 3:12 pm

I’m with ya – I love to eat, and cook, and bake, and all that. Congrats on the 4 lbs this week!! You’re doing something right!

hatethekate January 12, 2011 at 3:23 pm

One of my resolutions is to stop inhaling food. I can seriously eat a huge dinner in under 5 minutes and sometimes not even realize it 🙁 So chew and enjoy every bite, put fork down between bites and sip water between bites. and stop watching TV while i do it 😉

Rob Dyess January 12, 2011 at 3:28 pm

I am going to run 1000 miles this year!!! Not all at once, but you know, over the course of the year.

Hope I win!!

Marissa January 12, 2011 at 8:03 pm

This year is THE year I reach goal weight and I will run my first half marathon

Brooke January 13, 2011 at 9:52 am

To actually do all those bellydance practices that I plan to do. Which will make me more fit AND a better dancer. 🙂

Amy January 16, 2011 at 1:45 pm

my one habit change/ resolution… to stop eating off my kid’s plate! I’d probably save about 500 calories a day!
