as if you didn’t already know

by MrsFatass on October 9, 2009

Many many thanks to this hip cat for announcing to the world that my little blog is over the top. Like you didn’t already know.

So, here’s the scoop. Answer the questions with one word (as IF) and then tag 6 people who YOU think are over the top. I’ll do my best on the one word, but really? When you string them together like I do, one is never enough. I mean, right?

(Word to the newbies, when I act all Joe Cool about stuff, it’s just a cover for being deeply touched that somebody likes to come here and read. And I have a talking problem. I babble and go on and on and usually can’t turn it off till I say something stupid and even then I usually keep going. So, in hindsight, maybe this one word rule isn’t such a bad idea after all).

1) Where is your cell phone? Nightstand. Off. One must occasionally unplug one’s self from the outside world.
2) Your hair? Impossible. Thick, though.
3) Your mother? Inspiration.
4) Your father? Pappou.
5) Your favorite food? Yes please.
6) Your dream last night? Forgotten.
7) Your favorite drink? Water. Black Bush, neat.
8) Your dream/goal? Not to mess up my kids.
9) What room are you in? Living room.
10) Your hobby? Cooking. And grad school.
11) Your fear? Death. Mine or someone else’s.
12) Where do you want to be in six years? Wherever my husband and children are.
13) Where were you last night? With Trophy Husband, watching Thursday Night Appointment Television. NBC. Best Thursday night lineup since the late nineties, when it was Friends/Seinfeld then a switch over to Comedy Central for South Park.
14) Something that you aren’t? Lanky.
15) Muffins? Cupcakes.
16) Wish list item? Kindle.
17) Where did you grow up? Flint, MI.
18) Last thing you did? Email.
19) What are you wearing? Pjs. Bathrobe.
20) Your TV? Old.
21) Your pets? None. (And looking to send the ones next door to a good home far far away. The loud ones, anyway).
22) Friends? Blessings.
23) Your life? Keeps me on my toes.
24) Your mood? A choice. I choose happy.
25) Missing someone? Yearning, actually.
26) Vehicle? Buick LeSabre. Love.
27) Something you are not wearing? Jewelry.
28) Your favorite store? One where someone else is footing the bill.
29) Your favorite color? Orange.
30) When was the last time you laughed? This morning.
31) Last time you cried? Wednesday.
32) Your best friend? Far away.
33) One place I would go to over and over? Ecstasy.
34) One person who e-mails me regularly? Lisa. Mom.
35)Favorite place to eat? One that serves food prepared by someone else, where I am surrounded by grown ups and they don’t serve chicken fingers.

Now that we’ve shared, I get to tag six other over-the-toppers. I’m going to choose some blog friends who have either been a bit quiet, who are just getting started, or who I am dying to know their stance on muffins. So we can, you know, stay connected. Ready? Here goes:

Late 90s NBC Thursdays really were so good. There's still no TV night I consistently enjoy as much as I did that.

As per your request, I added a contact email over on my blog. It's halvinghadley at gmail dot com, in case you don't want to click over.

hey, just to let you know….I grew up in Lake station Michigan, which is between Clare Michigan and Cadillac. So, about 40 miles from where you grew up. Flint hasn't been the same Since Gm left.

Ok I can't take it anymore. I've been lurking for a couple days. I'll recount the steps I took to land here later. I've felt the need to comment a few times but have decided not to come out in the open until I'm all 'caught up' aka reading your posts from start to finish. I've felt an overwhelming connection between your story and mine. Then out of effing nowhere come the Go Blues and Michigan vacation. I'm from Michigan! I feel all Will Ferrell in Elf "Santa!! I know him!!!" ok… Maybe not quite. Then to see you grew up in Flint… I live in Fenton. Crazy small world. The similarities don't end there. I shouldve started with a big thank you! It's beyond brave to share your struggles in such a public arena. I'm loving it here so far and promise I'll engage more when I finish getting caught up on your posts. I'm gonna crawl back under my rock now. I'll formally introduce myself after I'm up to date. Peace out girl scout.
